What does uncredited mean?

The word uncredited next to a name means that the person didn't receive an on-screen credit -- in other words, their name does not appear in the main or end titles of the film or show.

A typical example is when a famous actor has an unbilled cameo appearance in a film or a background/extras role.

We do list uncredited work on a limited basis, provided it fulfills our eligibility criteria.

If you appeared or worked in a film but did not receive an on-screen credit (i.e. your name does not appear in the credits) you must include the word (uncredited) in the attribute field of your submission.

Failure to do so, or attempting to remove the uncredited attribute from a credit where it's needed, may result in the entry being permanently rejected from the database.

Please note that none of the following have any bearing on whether you were, by our definition, credited:

• pay stubs
• call sheets
• agent listings
• press mentions
• resumes
• your visibility on screen

Any attempt to use any of these to reverse an uncredited status will be rejected. The only thing that matters is the actual, onscreen credits - the list of names.

If your name was not on screen, you were uncredited.
