The word uncredited next to a name means that the person didn't receive an onscreen credit -- in other words, their name does not appear in the main or end titles of the movie or TV series.
A typical example is when a famous actor has an un-billed cameo appearance in a title or a background/extras role.
We do list uncredited work on a limited basis, provided it fulfills our eligibility criteria.
If you appeared or worked in a film but did not receive an onscreen credit (i.e. your name does not appear in the credits) you must select the attribute: uncredited in the Attribute field of your submission.
Failure to do so, or attempts to remove the uncredited attribute from a credit where it's needed, may result in the entry being permanently declined from the database.
Please note that none of the following have any bearing on whether you were, by our definition, credited:
Any attempt to use any of these to reverse an uncredited status will be declined. The only thing that matters is the actual, onscreen credits - the list of names.
If your name was not onscreen, you were uncredited.
Approved credit(s) not displaying on your IMDb page?
Our display logic requires at least one fully credited listing on a name page before anything will show. This means if a page has only uncredited listings it will appear empty, even if your addition has been approved.
Once a fully credited submission is added to the page, all uncredited data will also appear.
