I've forgotten my email address/password. How do I sign in to IMDb?

If you sign in with your Amazon account on IMDb, you can manage your IMDb email address and password in your Amazon account settings.

If you have forgotten your password, you will need to reset your password using the IMDb desktop or mobile site.

  1. Go to the Sign-in page.
  2. Select “Sign in with IMDb”.
  3. Select “Password assistance”.
  4. When prompted, enter the email address or mobile phone number associated with your account, and select “Continue”.
    1. We’ll send you an email or SMS (depending on the verification method you’ve chosen) containing a One Time Password (OTP), to authenticate your request.
  5. Enter the OTP you received, and select “Continue”.
  6. Create a new password.

Please ensure your password is at least eight characters long and includes both numerical and alphabetical characters. Please also remove any extended characters with accents and also note that the characters: <>,' are not supported.

As soon as you’ve created a new password, it will be active and you can log in to IMDb.

If you have forgotten or don’t have access to your email address, you will need to recover your account by contacting us directly.

If you no longer have access to your email, but remember your password, you can sign in to IMDb with your email and password, and then go to your Account Settings to “Change your email address”.
