Featured Video Page Display FAQs
Once a name or title page has a video in it's gallery, we'll automatically display the content on the main page for users to see - this is called the featured video.
It's worth noting that if the video is tagged as mature, it won't be allowed in this slot.
How the video is chosen
If there's more than one video in the gallery, an automated selection logic chooses which is shown on the main page.

Only videos associated (and already present in your video gallery) with your name can be used in this logic - if there's a video on IMDb you were involved in, but which you're not linked to - you can request new videos be tagged to your name via our contact form. The priority order in which the video types are selected:
Within the types above, there are other factors that influence the selection:
If none of the above types of video are present then there will be no featured video on the name page. If a video is incorrectly assigned to a name page, you may report these cases via our contact form and our data editors will be happy to take a look. However, please note that any video ordering or slate change requests raised for purely stylistic reasons will not be actioned. The featured video that displays on the top of the title page is decided primarily based on the video type - regardless of the logic below, videos tagged as Mature will be ineligible for being listed on the featured video slot. The priority order in which the video types are selected:

However, please note that any video change requests for the correct title raised for purely stylistic reasons will not be actioned. |
